Every Good Planner needs a Cover

I was a very lucky recipient of this Beautiful Quilter’s Planner. My friend and fellow Quilter Jenn @jt_quilter  completely caught me off guard with this very generous gift. It is also one of the reasons that I started the #52weekswithTheQuiltersPlanner QAL. If you want to see my blocks you can follow along on my Instagram account. I will be using my winnings from @patbravodesign with @artgalleryfabrics and recycled jeans! This will make a perfect gift for my oldest son. He has asked for a jean quilt for sometime now.

My first step is to make a nice cover for it. I wanted something with lots of pockets…..inside and out (maybe even secret.;))! I also wanted it to have some pen and pencil holders. So that I would never be hunting down a writing implement again. You know what I mean. 🙂 Then last but not least; I wanted something with loads of personality. So the planning began with pen and paper…….some fabric bits(which are scraps from friends and other projects), a zip here and there. It was coming along nicely.

Then all I had to do was add all the personality I wanted. 🙂

I will be adding embroidery stitches and hand quilting where needed. I might even color here and there. I have some nice oil paint sticks. I am very happy with how it has morphed into a cover I will be using for a good long while.

Until Next Time …………..stay organized and happy planning!
