February One Monthly Goal!

Hello! For those of you that are new to my Blog and have come over from Elm Street Quilts I hope that you take a moment after reading this post to explore and subscribe.

For this months goal, I really think I want to make a shirt or night gown, something out of this beautiful fabric that I picked up from a destash sale.

I believe I have over 8 yards of this particular fabric and so I should have enough for one or more projects. Now, I realize that this isn’t a quilting goal but I hope that you are still interested in seeing what I am going to be working on.

I also, wanted to make sure that I shared my OMG finishes for last month, even though I did not make the cut off date for the Elm Street Quilt finish link up. You can go over and see the beautiful finishes for the month of January.

It really just slipped my mind to make my post in time. I do really enjoy seeing what everyone is up to and it helps me focus on my own goals and projects. You can read about last months goals HERE. My three Christmas table runners are all finished up. All I had to do was finish putting the binding on. Am I the only one that gets side tracked at the end of a project.? I am looking forward to using these next holiday season.

I did It!

My organizer is now all together and filling up fast. I hope you enjoy the video (music is from Ampletunes ) showing you how I use it and all my wonderful Boho Berry subscription box goodies.

I really hope you are having a fantastic start to 2019! I know that I have been very busy. I am very pleased with my progress in January, even with being super ill for most of the month. Here is a list of all the things that I accomplished last month….

  1. binding on three table runners
  2. completed and started using my Ultimate Art Organizer (pattern by Sew Sweetness)
  3. finished four commission binding jobs
  4. started to declutter and destash my fabric (check it out on my IG @flannelladybug_destash ) the funds will be going to help rebuild from the wildfire ….you can read more about that here.)
  5. started to break down the packages that come in the mail ……. to put out in the garden.

In other news for the month of January. My family celebrated 5 birthdays, have 2 ongoing surgery recoveries, had a graduation from Eastern University, and a member started a new direction in life. I can’t wait to see what February has in store!

Until next time………….stay warm and safe.

  2. I love the fabric. I have not done much clothing sewing in the past 15 years or so. . . might be interesting to try getting back to it once I have my quilting projects a little more under control.

    Have a great month.

    1. Thank You Sherry! My grandmother was a seamstress and taught me how to sew clothing way before I had even ever thought of making Quilts. I really love making my own clothes and I have been putting it off for some time. This year I hope to replenish my wardrobe. Have a fantastic month!!
