June’s Goal

Welcome to my world, where I love to make and create, while sometimes sharing other events going on. You just get ME being ME and all that it encompasses. I hope that you will take a look around.

I had some serious thoughts about not joining in on this month’s Elm Street Quilt link up. I was sitting here in my chair wondering just how was I going to take on just one more thing. I have had many twist and turns this year: some good, some very worrisome, while others just about put me at a dead stop. Then I remember my blessings: my family, both extended and immediate. They are looking to me for normalcy and strength. So what is more normal then me at my sewing machine.

“Dear Lord,

Grant me the strength to over come these many obstacles that you have laid at my feet. The wisdom and energy to do the things that I need to do. While never forgetting the many blessings and miracles that you have shown me. Amen”

I smile and silently say my prayers.

So with that I am going to put my big girl pants on and put a small goal out there for the month of June. I still need to finish quilting the baby quilt that is on my frame.(pictured below) It is made of HST using a charm pack and a mix of Kona solids. Bordered with Black Kona Solid. I love how this has turned out and am excited to get it finished.

and I would really like to finish my Candied Pineapple Blocks. I only need two more, blue and green.  Pictured are the two that I have made already. I am using my color scraps and the last of my text fabrics. The one pinned to the board is a Moda while the red and yellow background is a Tim Holtz print.

Here’s to hoping that I have something to share at the end of the month. I have really enjoyed partaking in this monthly event!!

Until next time…………………..let’s go sew!

I’ll be watching close to see if you make the candied pineapples . They really are so pretty! I wish I had the patience to make some for me. I’m glad you’ll be sewing and working on a few projects.

I just love how these Pineapple blocks look. I have been staring at them on my wall all this time. I really will make the very best effort to get them done. Thank you Lori for being my cheerleader!
