I love the bright colorful fabrics of these blocks and think that this would be a perfect finish for March.
I was gifted these unfinished blocks in the #getyourquiltywishesgranted3 last year. It is a Instagram event were you grant wishes for others and in turn you may ask for a wish or two. I have participated three years running and I always ask for those long forgotten projects that need some love. I truly love finishing projects that have been started by others.
There is a certain amount of excitement that I feel, bringing life into a project that has been put on the back burner for whatever reason. I have many times completed a project and returned it to the original owner as a surprise. Some will find their way into my donation pile, while others will be loved by my family and friends.
I have over the years received UFO blocks, whole projects (including patterns and rulers), most often though I receive scraps. I am truly a scrappy quilter and have enjoyed the variety that comes from working with fabrics that I am gifted. There are so often times that I am working with colors and fabrics that I do not have in my own stash. It is so inspiring!!
So with that in mind I am super inspired to complete this project from Andrea. (You can find her on Facebook and Instagram links provided.) I have no idea how it was intended to go together but I really like this layout that I believe will give me a secondary pattern. I guess we shall see! I hope that you will follow along and find out with me.
Until next time………………….May the Sun Shine Brightly Upon You.
