I have had so much fun with the March Quilty Box that I have made several of these Stash and Dash Organizers by Annie. I have three for myself (pictured above) and one I gave away to a friend of mine at JT Quilting. I kept increasing the size as I found homes for them. As you can see the Steam Punk version is the original size. I made this one out of fabric and Kraft Tex. It is a paper like product that can be used in the same way you would use fabric. It is incredibly strong and it will take on inks, washing, paint, etc……
The second one (the green one) I made twice. I love the fabric!! I quilted around the balloons and words.
I made mine just a bit larger because I knew that I wanted it to hold my coloring implements! Crayons, coloring pencils, oil crayons, markers of all kinds. I truly love having all these together in one place. I can just quickly grab and go!
The last one ……is my Modern version and it is much larger. I knew that I wanted it to hold a pattern in the front vinyl pocket. Then on the inside I could house my EPP bits, scissors, ripper, and any other item I might need. I wanted a on the go project keeper. This fit the bill perfectly!!
The inside has three zippered compartments and there is a outside vinyl pocket. I think this size is actually my favorite. It seems to be more versatile for my needs. But I do have a habit of changing patterns or just tweaking them to fit my needs. Making it my own! This is just another reason I love my Quilty Box. I just cannot Thank my son enough for this wonderful gift and cannot wait to see what the next month brings!
Until Next time……………………explore your stash and make something new and different!!
